During this past week I decided that I was going to go to Raleigh and watch some Amateur golfers in action. I also thought up a possible way to raise some money for the Pro Crosstown tournament. My thinking was I was going to walk the course each round and watch some golf, so I decided to raffle off my Caddying Services for the weekend. Tickets were 5 bux a piece or 5 for 20 bux. I raised 95 bux. The first person that was drawn got to choose which round I caddied for them, that was Jeff Kozak

Jeff chose the 2nd round.   The next person picked was Chris Brown, he chose the first round.  The 3rd person picked was Alec Bachicha, and he got the 4th round.  I would like to think that all the players that I caddied for got some good insight on how to play a little bit better in tournament play.  I enjoyed giving them little tips here and there.  The wind that the players had to endure the 1st day was very intense, I wish I could have played in those conditions.

I have one more fundraiser to do for the Pro Crosstown…I can’t wait til that one gets here.  It should bring in about another 50 bux.  It feels good to give back to this great sport that I love so much.

  1. Thank you so much Swebby for coming out and lending a hand. Your help is much appreciated.

  2. Brian,

That is a great idea. I would have been very excited to have a chance at winning a top pro for a caddie when I was an am. It’s good to read about touring pro’s giving back like that. Way to be unselfish and proactive.
